Van Cortlandt Park spans 1,146 acres in the Bronx, serving as both a natural refuge and an active community hub for New Yorkers.

When two organizations merged to form the Van Cortlandt Park Alliance, they needed a unified identity to support this new chapter. I developed a logo, brand guidelines, and website that reflect the park’s energy and its role as a connector between city and nature.

The mark draws on the park’s distinctive “train-to-trail” experience, symbolizing the transition from urban infrastructure to natural landscape — and reinforcing the park’s place at the intersection of movement, access, and community.
